Call for papers: Human Performance Enhancement

The Ministry of Defence’s think tank, the Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre (DCDC) is undertaking a study into human performance enhancement (HPE) and would like to hear from authors.

We are interested in a broad range of topics including, but not limited to: 

  • optimising human physical and cognitive performance; 
  • supported decision-making with enhanced human intelligence and artificial intelligence; 
  • brain – computer interface, body – machine interface, bionics, prosthetics and exoskeletons; and 
  • what part HPE will play in a future, complex urban terrain operation. 

Accepted submissions will be used in a future joint concept note on the subject.

The initial submission deadline is 16 March 2018 with final manuscripts in by 31 May 2018.
