Civilian Line Management Fundamentals - New online learning opportunities

05 March 2019 / Categories: DA News and Events

Responding to delegate feedback, Defence Leadership Centre (DLC) has developed ‘Civilian Line Management Fundamentals’ – an online resource to support those with line management responsibilities for civilian staff.

Available immediately, Civilian Line Management Fundamentals replaces the existing one day Managing Civilian Staff workshop. No more waiting on reserve lists, available 24/7, just in time, at point of need; this resource provides an overview of the essentials for line managing civilian staff. Designed so you can dip in and out as required, gaining the knowledge you need when you need it.

Debbie Boon, Head of Leadership Learning Delivery Team said:

“We are working hard to support our learners by offering them the opportunity to develop and hone their skills using this new and modern format, at a time and place to suit their needs.”

Developed in conjunction with the Defence Academy Technology Enhanced Learning Enablers (TELE) team, and endorsed by CivHR, Civilian Line Management Fundamentals is hosted on the Defence Learning Environment DLE/DLC Virtual Learning Environment accessible through the Defence Gateway, from this link or through the course page.

Civilian Line Management Fundamentals complements the growing number of DLC online courses available through the DLE, including Mentoring Fundamentals and Military Appraisal for Civilian Reporting Officers.
