Defence Academy attends Partnering with Defence Conference 2018, highlighting the support we give to the armed forces through the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Defence Academy attended the Partnering with Defence Conference 2018 to highlight what we give back to organisations who support our armed forces through the Armed Forces Covenant.

Director of Defence Relationship Management, the organisation which links Defence with industry, Stephen Crookbain, welcomed the audience and announced a new menu of benefits for gold and silver winners in the Employer Recognition Scheme awards. The Defence Academy’s Skills Under Pressure workshop is a key benefit for gold members.

This workshop is designed to explore the key themes of leadership and resilience under pressure and is delivered in the impressive surroundings of Royal College of Defence Studies. Those attending will have the opportunity to engage with military staff, wider government and other commercial organisations, all of which will enhance the overall learning experience.

During his keynote speech at the conference, the Secretary of State for Defence, Rt Hon Gavin Williamson CBE MP, thanked 250 delegates from a huge range of industry sectors for their continued support to the armed forces and veterans.  The rate of signings of the Armed Forces Covenant is growing significantly and there are now over 2300 employers across the country who have declared their public support.

The Skills Under Pressure workshop will be held later in the year at Seaford House, London. Eligible signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant wishing to attend could receive up to 15% discount on standard rates for Defence Academy courses.  If you are interested in attending the workshop or require further information, please contact us.
