Former ACSC students return for graduation ceremony

Eighty three former Advanced Command and Staff College (ACSC) students returned to the Defence Academy recently for their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Defence Studies graduation ceremony.
King’s College London’s Vice-Principal for Arts and Sciences, Professor Evelyn Welch, conferred the degrees.
 
Approximately half of the 2013-2014 ACSC students returned for the ceremony, including 23 international students.
 
The winner of the Sir Michael Howard Prize, awarded for the best academic achievement on the course, went to Lt Col Mark Ackrill.
 
This year marked the first award of a new degree - the Qatar MRes in Defence Studies, which was awarded to Lt Col Nawaf Mubarak Al-Thani who attended the Joaan Bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College (JJJCSC) while studying for the degree under the tutorship of King’s College London academic staff.
