Jacqueline Davies, Director of Building Integrity UK followed up a busy week of delivering the Building Integrity for Senior Leaders course in Beckett House last week, by competing at the World Middle Distance Quadrathlon Championships in Brigg, Lincolnshire.

Organised by Lincsquad and comprising of a 1500m swim, a 38k bike in heavy rain, a 7k kayak and a 10k run, Jackie raced against very stiff competition, some of whom compete for GB in kayaking and duathlon.

After the mass swim start, Jackie came out of the water in second position and was in third following the bike section. She held onto third during the kayak segment, but was just pipped to the post by an elite racer on the run, thereby finishing in fourth place overall in the women’s category. However, she was delighted to secure 1st place in her age group and was ‘crowned’ World Champion FV50 in a time of 3:24:21.

Jackie’s next event will be at the British National Quadrathlon Championships taking place at Box End Water Park on 30 June.
