The Technology and Business Faculty is piloting its first course webinar to replace previous face-to-face courses as the Defence Academy adapts during COVID-19.
The Capability and Acquisition Fundamentals on 28 May 2020 will launch using Adobe Connect and you will need a non-MODNET device to attend.
Delivered over two sessions, the webinar will examine how capabilities are planned and acquired through the defence acquisition system. The first section covering the principles described in ‘How Defence Works’, with session two looking at ‘Delivering Change’ elements including Concept, Assessment, Demonstration, Manufacture, In-Service and Disposal (CADMID(T)) and the approvals process.
Aimed at all MOD staff new to the capability and acquisition career field or those in need of a broad understanding of how capability and acquisition works in defence. It is suitable for all ranks and grades.

A post-webinar survey will also help drive future delivery methods as the Defence Academy works to embrace more blended learning.
