Padre David Norfield provided the BBC Radio 2 Pause for Thought at the end of the week that saw the Manchester bombing

Padre David Norfield, Deputy Principal and Chief Instructor of the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre, has been a regular presenter on Vanessa Feltz’s morning show on BBC Radio 2 since Autumn last year.

When asked how he decides what to say, he explained that “the BBC provide a theme for the week. The problem with usually being on the Friday is that I can’t write my piece until the Thursday and I just have to hope no-one else uses my ideas. What happened last week was that on the Thursday I was called and was asked to stick with the theme of ‘Life in Colour’ but as it was the end of the week to make sure the events of the week were included.”
