Shrivenham Leadership Centre delivers its first Defence Thinking Skills Programme workshop and masterclasses

03 October 2016 / Categories: DA News and Events

On Friday September 23rd, Brigadier Herbert- D HCSC and Dep Commandant JSCSC, delivered the welcome address to the first of a series of workshops and masterclasses being run by the Defence Thinking Skills Programme. The programme, which is a joint Cranfield University/Shrivenham Leadership Centre initiative, originated in 2013 with the aim to enhance human capabilities across Defence through encouraging “thinking about thinking”.

Whilst academic research underpins the programme, considerable effort has been taken to develop a range of tools, techniques and concepts which can encourage and support enhanced thinking on a practical level. The workshop was designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and confidence to develop thinking on both a personal and organisational level, supported by an online portal and thinking skills newsletters.

The series of workshops (open to all) and masterclasses (aimed at OF5 and above) are running from Oct 16th  to Mar 17th and further details and an application form can be found below.
