The DefAc Commercial and Contract Management Team were pleased to be successful in a ballot for the receipt of 5 saplings as part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy project.

The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy (QCC), conceived by the Right Honourable Frank Field MP, was launched at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta, in 2015. The QCC is a unique network of forest conservation initiatives, which involves all 53 countries of the Commonwealth.

The saplings, two Silver Birch, two Rowan and one Hazel, were planted around Greenhill House with the assistance of the Shrivenham Station C.O., Wing Commander R A Hart BEng MSc MA CEng FRAeS RAF.

While it will be many years before these saplings reach maturity, the DA are pleased to participate in and support such an important and worthwhile project.
