Application process for Ministry of Defence (MOD) personnel
Applications through 2020DIN07-009 - Postgraduate Studies – Fellowships, Masters and Part-Time Doctorates within the Naval Service for the Academic Year from September 2020. Closing date for applications 30 Mar 20. Applications should not be made direct to the University. Please engage with the DIN Author as to whether they will consider late applications.
Applications through Army Command Order 2020/01 – The Defence Academy Part-time Postgraduate Programme delivered by Cranfield University – Academic Year 2020/21 can be found on MODNET. Go to Army Home > Army publications > Army Command Orders ACOs. Closing date for applications 30 Apr 20. Applications should not be made direct to the University. Please engage with the ACO Author as to whether they will consider late applications. If you cannot locate the ACO search the Defence Gateway for the ACO under the associated reference, or request a copy through: PGProgs@da.mod.uk.
Royal Air Force

MOD Civil Servants
MOD CS applications to be received by Fri 26 Jun 20 and must be endorsed by their Line Management chain. In order to secure academic clearance and funding to be considered, applicants must complete the Cranfield application form linked below, less for DE&S personnel applying for the PPM MSc who should first secure the support of the Project Professional Capability Team based in Abbey Wood through: DESProjCtrl-LD@mod.gov.uk. The entry criteria for the MScs are detailed at the relevant web page.
All applicants irrespective of service must be in a relevant role and those who have already undertaken a Defence Academy funded MSc will not be eligible to apply but may be eligible to undertake a number of associated modules or, if there is an urgent business need, a lower exit award such as PgCert. Such applications must come with a Business Case written and endorsed by their Career Manager or Line Management chain.
