Whilst many of our students are from the British and international military, we have a sizeable civilian student population who hail from the Ministry of Defence as well as other government departments and agencies, and also from the private sector.
When not studying, you will find ample opportunities to relax, make friends and enjoy yourself through our cafes, bars, restaurants, sports and social clubs, events and leisure facilities. The Defence Academy's sports facilities at Shrivenham are first class, covering a wide range of activities. Please check individual sites for specific details of facilities and activities at each location.
Our students range in age from 16 year olds at the Defence Sixth Form College, to mature adults preparing for the senior stages of their careers, as well as all ages in between. You can expect to find students of every age, background and nationality when studying at the Defence Academy.
