About this course

The Deception Planning Course (DPC) is a two-week residential course for individuals that have a role in the development of deception plans within strategic/operational headquarters. The course is designed for OF3 to OF5 officers and civilian equivalents.

You will learn the core concepts of deception, including examining historical examples, techniques and planning considerations for deception activities.

DPC is the MOD’s only training intervention concerned with deception and therefore is pivotal for you if you require an understanding of this area to conduct your role.

Before you attend

Ideally you should have completed Intermediate Command Staff Course (Air, Land or Maritime) and/or have completed the Joint Information Operattions Planning Course.
