About this course

The Joint Information Operations Planning Course (JIOPC) will prepare you to plan information operations at the operational level. JIOPC is a one-week, classroom-based course delivered following NATO doctrine, but with additional UK perspectives. The course is designed for OF3 to OF5 officers and civilian equivalents who are currently in, or destined for, joint operational level information operations planning roles. 

What you will learn

You will learn how to contribute to and integrate information operations into operational HQ planning processes.

How this course will help your career

JIOPC is a progression from JIAC and prepares individuals to contribute information operations planning to operational HQs. Such experience will prepare individuals well for further service in strategic HQs.

Who can attend this course

  • Military
  • MOD civil servants

This course is routinely held at SECRET, however, where appropriate and with prior arrangement delivery can be reduced to OFFICIAL SENSITIVE to accommodate applicants who are not cleared to SECRET.

Before you attend

You are expected to already have generic operational planning process experience/training prior to commencing JIOPC and have completed the Joint Information Activities Course (JIAC).
