 Pre-RMAS Phase B is a mandatory course for all international cadets entering the Regular Commissioning Course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

About this course

The Pre-Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (Pre-RMAS) Phase B course is delivered entirely in English and includes an introduction to the British Army, physical training, drill, navigation training, leadership skills and decision-making skills.

Pre-RMAS Phase B is a three-week course, delivered in April, August and November each year.

Pre-RMAS Phase B prepares cadets for the challenges they will face at RMAS in a safe, supportive environment. It provides them with the opportunity to develop military skills and familiarise themselves with the use of the English language in a military setting.

Who can attend this course

  • Internationals

Pre-RMAS Phase B is open to internationals who have been offered a place at RMAS.

Before you attend

Participants are expected to have International English Language Testing System level 4.5 or equivalent.
