This course is aimed at you if your primary role is to derive training content, determine the strategy for this training to be assessed and to select appropriate training methods and media, using the outputs of the Training Needs Analysis phase to produce Formal Training Statements (FTS) and delivery documentation.
Applications for the course will be closed 6 weeks Prior to the start date.
You will learn to:
*determine training content necessary to achieve the training objectives developed in the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) phase
*produce a FTS
*determine the Assessment Specification for the training activity or course/module
*select appropriate combinations of methods and media in accordance with guidance provided in the early Training Analysis phase
*schedule, timetable and pilot training events
*document in an auditable way analyses, decisions and recommendations (normally in a FTS, Assessment Strategy, (AStrat) Assessment Specification (ASpec), Instructional Specification (ISpec) and Training Authorisation Document (TrAD))
This course is widely required if you work in a Training Delivery Authority (TDA) or Training Development Team.
This course is also recommended if you are a training manager or learning development officer.

Restricted to personnel involved in training design roles that require an understanding of DSAT.
Prior to attending the residential workshop, you must complete the following reading and learning activities, which cover DSAT and Detailed Design and Development activities/ deliverables:
