About this course
This course runs for five days immediately following the commissioning course short at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) and aims to resource chaplains for their imminent arrival in their first unit.
What you will learn
You will learn/have:
- meetings and discussion with your brigade senior chaplain
- how defence compassionate and casualty procedures work and place of the chaplain within them
- ethics in command
- character development sessions
- an opportunity to research, develop and deliver a character development session
How this course will help your career
The course sits with the Royal Army Chaplains' Department (RAChD) training pathway and aims to resource chaplains to deliver the best service possible to their units, with the confidence of knowing their immediate and higher chaplaincy chain of command will support them.

RAChD nominees having completed MOD A only.
