About this course
Volunteer chaplains will be required to provide pastoral care to RAF air cadets and to provide moral and religious direction. The course provides volunteers with an insight into the specific issues facing young people and staff in a 'pseudo' military environment and also to discuss the support available from the regular chaplaincy, single service entities.
What you will learn
You will learn/have the opportunity to:
- provide religious and moral instruction to RAF air cadets and staff
- sources of support
- establish the nature of the culture and ethos of the RAF air cadets
- establish the nature of the culture and ethos of the regular RAF chaplaincy
- practical aspects of providing pastoral care to RAF air cadets including:
- provide church services, supporting commemorations, parades etc
- need to know principles
- reporting
- chain of command
- safeguarding and duty of care

This course will enable volunteers to better understand the RAF air cadets and the RAF chaplain.

- Military
Attendees are air cadets chaplains nominated by the air cadets organisation.
Before you attend
Accepted as honorary chaplain with the RAF air cadets.
