Dozens of Defence Academy families have enjoyed another successful International Day organised by members of the Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC).
For over four decades, this annual event has brought families from across the Academy together, celebrating the rich multicultural heritage represented each year on ACSC. More than an informal activity, International Day has become a cornerstone of the first term calendar—an opportunity to strengthen bonds and build lasting networks among the student cohort.
Representing 50 countries alongside the United Kingdom’s Home Nations, stands displayed an array of culture, colours, costumes, and cuisine. From traditional dishes to national dress, the Cormorant Building was transformed into a global showcase.
Speaking about the day, Commander Ute Niklas, Head of the International Day Committee, said:
“The annual event celebrates the rich multicultural heritage represented each year on ACSC. The opportunity to meet and socialise with course members and their families and build relationships that will last beyond our time at the Defence Academy is one that cannot be underestimated."
