English Language Wing, Defence Centre for Language and Culture

Captain Kaz Murray joined International Group in 2024, taking up the role of Plans and Delivery within the English Language Wing. Her work centres on the administration of English language programmes, ensuring smooth delivery and a high-quality experience for course members. She also teaches military-specific English when required, supporting both the Pre-Royal Military Academy Sandhurst course and the British Military English Course.

In addition to teaching, Capt Murray plays a key role in organising cultural visits and supporting students’ integration into life in the UK.

“I ensure a smooth and enriching experience for our students by working closely with stakeholders including International Defence Training (Army) in London and contract partners. I make sure students feel welcomed, supported, and informed—from onboarding through to course completion. I also help them navigate welfare and medical services, emergency procedures, and Defence Academy policies and opportunities.”

Her work directly supports defence engagement through education. By delivering training to international partners, Capt Murray helps foster strong relationships across nations and contributes to the development of future global leaders and influencers.

“There are so many elements of the courses to organise and doing this in the interest of our diverse student body, and adapting to respond to their valuable feedback, keeps the role exciting and ever-changing.”

“Each individual brings unique needs, and we support them not only academically but also personally, especially those on longer-term programmes. I also value the opportunity to broaden my skills while continuing to teach when needed.”
