About this course

The Intermediate Chaplains’ Course offers an opportunity to theologically reflect on your ministry alongside tri Service colleagues through theological reflection and group facilitation, the course is designed to consolidate existing skills in chaplaincy teams and digital posts. To develop strategic thinking and advanced competency in pastoral care, spiritual and moral resilience and locate chaplaincy in the moral component of defence.

The course will focus on spiritual/moral leadership, pastoral care, fostering vocation and delivering Chaplaincy. This is a tri-Service course where you will both learn from and share experiences with colleagues from across UK Chaplaincy

The purpose of the AFCC Intermediate Course is to prepare delegates for further Chaplaincy positions within the Armed Forces, to understand themselves better, and to prepare them for what is expected of the role of a mid-seniority Chaplain within MOD.
