About this course

The Joint Media Operations Planning Course (JMOPC) will prepare you to plan media operations at the operational level. JMOPC is a one-week residential course for OF3 and above officers who are in or preparing for roles responsible for the development and integration of communication strategies within a strategic/operational level headquarters.

You will learn how to contribute to and integrate media operations into operational headquarter planning processes.

How this course will help your career

JMOPC is a progression from the Joint Media Practitioner Course (JMPC) and prepares individuals to contribute to media operations planning in an operational headquarters. Such experience will prepare you well for further service in strategic/ headquarters and government departments.

Before you attend

You are expected to already have generic operational planning process experience/training prior to commencing JIOPC and have completed either the Joint Information Activities Course (JIAC) or the Joint Media Practitioner Course (JMPC).
