International Officer Cadets representing 17 countries graduated from the Defence Academy this week, including the first from Burkina Faso.

The 27 strong cohort have completed their Pre-Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) training and will move on to the next stage of their career at the world-renowned military establishment.

The Pre-RMAS course prepares overseas students already accepted for Officer Training at RMAS, where a rich tradition of moulding international cadets into future world leaders dates back over 200 years.

Delivered by the Defence Centre for Languages and Culture, Pre-RMAS consists of two phases. Phase A runs over 13 weeks and focuses on developing the English language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing for both military and general English.
